1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I'd be so IN for that.

I'd have an open mind on chukkas in general - so long as it is a 2 or 3 eyelet. 5 eyelets strike me as being in a kind of no-man's land between a chukka and a tall boot. From Carmina, I'd much rather have a 2 eyelet chukka or the 7 eyelet model 973 boot than I would that 5 eyelet chukka.

That would make it a lot easier to keep those "no more shoes for the next six months" promises. But would suck immensely in every other way.

    I'll get in on the pre-March bum-rush with a spring/summer Carmina proposal:

    This shoe:

    Tobacco or fox suede
    Dainite or tomir sole
No contrast stitching (as on model above)
    Dark brown welt
    Rain last

    Who's in?

I don't think i count with my G width, but will be a reliable 6th person. To clarify, we are taking about Deco black calf leather (toe & heel bleaching) right? Not the last...

I'm currently listed on the GMTO for the Carmina 5 eyelet suede chukka, but I'm just looking for a Carmina suede chukka with a rubber sole in general. If this 5 eyelet version doesn't take off, I'd be willing to do a 3 eyelet version if that has more interest.

That's my dream chukka right there. But I also need a non-standard width (F) so this could be tough to pull together. Any idea how painful a single MTO would be on this?

Email Skoak, when some of us were contemplating Gable in deco calf color the price was no more than regular MTO.

Not too bad for a single MTO, i believe it would run 9040 SEK exl. VAT ($1103)

If we could get a GMTO going, it would be something like 7440 SEK exl. VAT ($908), which would be an amazing price.

From my last email on the subject, GG does not charge for requesting Deco black calf leather (bleaching effect) for a MTO, but it might be different for a GMTO?

Thanks guys. If the GMTO doesn't fly I'll have to give this some serious thought as a single order.

Nothing obnoxious. Vintage Oak or vintage cedar bottom. Chestnut or burgundy grain upper. Leather sole, open to last
