1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

So why did you get rid of the Nevis, and what makes the Thorpe so much better in your opinion?

Thank you for your generosity @Leaves. You mentioned no exotic so I assume their crust calf, suede, and pebble grains are acceptable? Also, is this for shoes or also boots (e.g., Shannon, Epsom, Nevis)? Any restrictions for more complex work (i.e., pig-bristle toe)? I assume using the new 890 last would also be okay? I just want to be clear on the options.

I'm ready to for a bidding war!

If I go with the Nevis it will more than likely be in Rosewood CC.

    I'm going for both myself.

    Rustic Thorpe

    Rosewood CC Nevis.

    when funds allow of course.

If you mean Carmina, they stopped accepting GMTO :(

    Else, let's hear it.

Ummmmm I don't think so. Maybe you mean EG or maybe you mean Carmina is not accepting cordovan orders?

GMTO on cordovan he means - there is a cordovan shortage. They can only accept a single MTO . For calf or suede GMTO is good to go anytime.

Then he should probably say that. The OP said nothing about cordovan.

Yes, I was thinking cordovan by default for some reason.

Sorry, gents. Been on the road all morning and am a little fried.

I did place a single MTO for a cordovan boot. Will post pics when they arrive.

lol, well what he said was plausible so it did make me panic a little. When one brand starts or stops doing something the others tend to follow suit. I wouldn't be surprised if GG and Carmina stopped doing it in the near future. EG and Meermin already did. It must not make much sense to do it financially I guess.

Any boot or shoe. 890 last for sure but, remember only standard MTO program so no last changes except those specified by Edward Green as standard lasts for that style.

The MTO fee seems so pricey though. Damn, this dream may have to wait lol.
