Can someone tell me how the Rain last fits compared to Alden Barrie? I just got a new pair of Alden 990's in size 8.5D and they are a touch big. I could either probably just get a bit thicker dress socks, or wait a few months for a size 8D. Or get these http://www.skoaktiebolaget.se/collections/boots/products/carmina-cordovan-chukka

I like the shape of the Rain last better than Aldens, just not sure about fit.

Thanks.

@Leaves Do you have photos of the other new Carmina models, the Burgundy Boot and Museum Cap-toe?

Sorry, I meant Detroit last, obvi.

Most people say to order your Barrie size for the Detroit. So you would be a 7UK. How is the barrie large? Length or width?

Thanks. The Barrie is a bit wide at the ball of my foot. There is also quite of a bit of space on the top of and below my foot when I walk. The length seems fine, although I think an 8 would also be fine in that regard.

To clarify, there is just space above and below the ball of my foot when I walk. The heel is secure.

I'm sensing a re-run of those boots in several colours :)
