1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

What do you guys think of the Carmina dark brown suede dub-monks?

I'm tempted to add these to my closet as I like the Inca last and have absolutely zero suede at the moment.

Snuff seems to be the more popular color....would I get much use out of the dark browns in both dress and casual modes?

The general recommendation for G&G is to go with half a size bigger than in Carmina, so UK10 should work in your case.

I find dark brown suede to be more formal in the same way that dark brown leather is more formal. That said, I'd be completely comfortable pairing these up with some denim or more casual chinos as well. Your usage is going to be dependent on what you already have, but I've seen a number of looks involving suits and suede DMs that I thought looked amazing.

I think dark brown is incredibly versatile. In fact, I struggle to conceive of the occasion where suede double monks could be worn, but a dark brown shade would make them too formal.

Is MTO the only way to go? Would there be enough interest for a group order?

Looks like a balmoral on the forest last, black calf / black suede. Correct?

I wear a UK10 on all G&G lasts as well as EG lasts.

On carmine and John Lobb I wear UK9.5 on all lasts.

What size would I be in Enzo Bonafe?

I believe so, yes. I know Meermin did one and Skoak did one with Carmina, but I can't find them now.

How wide is the 363 mod last? Closer to Carmina Rain or Detroit? Or maybe the 202 / GG06?

That was a stock model from us, back in 2012, 80092 model on Forest I believe, we will not restock it this season, we have a similar model from Bonafè in stock though.

We have started to order a lot more UK 6 and UK 6.5 but these sizes usually go very fast. Sorry.

Fits similar to the 202 last (E-width) in the forefoot but has a notably higher instep.
