1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Please email us if you have any quality issues you wish to discuss.

As for the veining this is unfortunately something I think we have to live with in this day and age. The cattle is raised for meat, not to make great shoes, and the animals are grown in a way that affects leather quality, This has been going on for years now. It's what every shoemaker will mention when you ask him about the biggest challenges they face. We see it across all brands regardless of price point, even with John Lobb, Edward Green, Gaziano & Girling. Usually it's not very visible and the leather is cut so that it's not on the front of the shoes, but rather on the sides. Leather is a natural product, and will show natural variations. Especially a vegetable tanned leather that is milled like Tärnsjö, which is also bovine and not calf, we actually always state this for all Tärnsjö-items (unless I'm mistaken this was mentioned in the product description of this order). "Please note that Oak Tärnsjö is vegetable tanned, milled leather - it shows slight signs of naturally occurring variances in hue and texture". The small specks is something we've seen on both Tärnsjö products from both Carmina and Bonafé.

Nice selection, especially the derby and the bolet oxford. However I realised your smallest size is UK7. This is the same as the previous batch of EB RTWs you brought in. Is Skoak not going to stock smaller sizes from EB going forward? I'm UK6.

I like the oxford too. I don't think we see enough balmorals that are not boots.

I just got an email from Skoak saying that Simone Abbarchi is doing a trunk show at their store. I cannot recommend him enough. I have been getting his shirts for over 10 years now during his NYC visits. They are great and the best value for made to measure you can find.

I have the opposite problem, I need a 10.5 UK and the ones I wanted weren't available above 9.5, which seems odd to me. I suppose they saved me some money for another purchase.
