1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

@ChristianS current plan is to add brogueing and use all burgundy calf. Thoughts?

@MGD83 that looks very much like the first image in my original post, I think.

Something like that? Derby brogue with norvegese? Burgundy?

@MGD83 keeping the balmoral shape (and closed lacing), no norvegesse. I believe there's also talk of a derby boot with norvegesse in brown.

Still interesting. Would that essentially be same as the Bonafe-shoe in your reference but as a boot?

I think that's precisely the idea, medallion excepted. You get the best idea of what the end product would look like by viewing the pics of the shoe and picturing it as a boot. Makes me drool a little, to be perfectly candid.

Absolutely. It can also be ordered from us directly through e-mail, we can pull it from central stock.

Nooooo. More like the opposite of Simpson.

Terrific makeups. If I ever find a loafer as beautiful as that doeskin number in a last that will fit me, I will be a happy guy. Love the new Tobacco shade.

Coming from a guy that doesn't like plain toe shoes...I really like those Olive PTBs.

Chukkas look great. Given the slightly darker shade and dainite soles, wouldn't they be appropriate for Fall wear? I have the Alden snuff suede flex welts which are great for Spring/Summer, but their use pretty much ends there. I am looking for a chukka that can be worn in Fall/Winter.

I am seriously considering them. I just don't have any experience with the Detroit last

I hear it is Barrie-ish. I believe not quite as much volume, though.
