1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

The OP can be asking about Enzo Bonafe's inca grain leather, not the Carmina last.

Gentlemen, I am proposing a GMTO for G&G Gables. me and @TtownMD are already IN for this makeup.

Last: Deco Square Last or TG73 (either is fine)
    Color: Midnight blue/Deco Black
    Sole: Single leather sole
    Width: E (standard width)

I am posting some styles which i looked up online.
Need 4 more people for this.
Pricing wise it should be 745 pounds excluding VAT but i will double check with Skoak team as well.
@Skoaktiebolaget - if you can please confirm that will be great.

Participated in the GMTO organized by @Zapasman for a Enzo Bonafe Split Toe boot with below specs:

    Model: 2927
    Last: 74945
    Upper Leather: Scozia 6120
    Double Dainite sole.
Construction: Norvegese with 360º Chain Stich.
360º Chain and Apron Thread Colour: Natural
    Sole Edge/Flat Welt Colour: Brown
    Eyelets: Blind.
Shoelaces: 1 pair of Braided + 1 pair of Normal.

The boots came out pretty sweet and I like the leather/colour quite alot. The usual good stuff from Bonafe applies so I'll just make mention of the not so good stuff below.

    Welt
As you can obviously see, the welt came out to be different. It looks to be a reverse welt but Skoaktiebolaget clarified over email it was a storm welt with a single norvegese stitch. I was expecting the usual 3 row of stitches for a norvegese but this only comes with the reverse welt stitch and usual blake stitch through the sole. Missing is the 'stitch down' where the turned out upper is secured to the welt. Not quite sure if this still qualifies as norvegese in my book.

Issue with welt stitches at toe area
In the last 2 pics, the toe stitch for both boots are messy and literally at the edge. Not sure if the stitches may get damaged in the long run through scuffs.

    Braided laces
This is not a criticism for construction. I would not recommend ordering laces that cannot be removed with a pair of high boots. Bonafe laces it the shoe shop method hence to loosen it up to wear, literally you have to loop through every single hole then tighten it all the way back up. I am considering cutting the laces off and use the extra brown ones. It is quite a pity as I liked the natural coloured laces with the natural stitching and reverse welt. Maybe I will figure something out at the cobbler?

That's a shame you didn't get what you ordered. This has me concerned that my pair of boots (ordered with chain stitching) will come out the way yours did.

Edit: just noticed the welt stitching at the toe (would be helpful if you clarified in your original post, I was looking at the split toe stitching and not the welt). In my opinion those should be seconds. That's just sloppy and unacceptable for a machine stitched $500+ boot. Again, just my opinion.

Which color of StC would be closest to GG/EG Oak?

My MTO Carmina 748 in saddle cordovan. These are surprisingly close in color to my light cognac Carmina PTB. Skoaktiebolaget has the best shipping to the US.

Boots look awesome. I don't have the full details regarding this GMTO, but if there was any mistake made on our part we'll try to fix it of course - please email us - Gabriel is back from vacation next week and will try and sort it out. Bonafè is closed until end of the month though.
