I think it's all Buffalo.
You think? The upper looks a much different grain structure from the shaft.

Agree with your observation

It appears as something "shrunken". However, I have seen many buffalo leather shoes that have an extremely heavy grain.

Buffalo on the whole shoe. The quarters have a heavier texture - just like it had on the double monk.
Correct.
Thanks for the clarification, Leaves.

Carmina Tärnsjö Wingtip - Oscar instep on an oxford is low for me but the leather is awesome so deciding to keep it. Hopefully I don't regret my decision in the future... They look great ...... so you find them pretty snug ....... any fit pics?

Tomorrow, September 3rd, at 11.00 AM CET we are launching this limited edition Buffalo Jumper Boot by Carmina. Anyone who want's in on this should pull the trigger very quickly, the double monks in buffalo sold out in just a few days.

Deets on last, please?

My feet are wide at the toes like an american E with high instep. I haven't worn them out yet so no fit pics.. but fit depends on your feet. The last is pretty comfortable at the toe area with a generous toe box just that I find most Carmina lasts to be lower on the instep than I would like
