1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I don't find Soller wider than Rain, I find it longer than Rain, which is why I size down a half size.

Guys, for those of you who are new to Carlos Santos, or have been on the fence, we have eight great new styles that just arrived. Some of them are existing Carlos Santos designs and some are new designs developed for us (basically the ones that are called 1000x are our designs). The first few Patina orders will arrive late next week, we really look forward to ship these out to you guys, the interest for this service has surpassed our expectations by far.

They look good! The captoe 8334 is a much better design than the first one that was stocked.

Shorter cap (or looks shorter) is much more proportioned.

    That burgundy patina looks great.

I think I will try something from CS. Maybe that Tobacco Chukka in the spring.

I like the look of the round classic 333 last.[IMG]
Any chance you will be offering patina service on something on this last in the future?

Thanks @Leaves - can you verify that the US site has also been updated? I'm not seeing the new additions...

    Question on the Carlos Santos:

I've noticed some of the branding on the outsoles are Carlos Santos while others have SANTOS Carlos Santos. What is the difference in the product lines? Thanks!

Yeah we noticed this too. It's a branding transition thing, it's the same product.

How do you find the fit of the G width GG vs. the Carmina or other pairs you own? I suspect I'd be a G width in GG but see so few of them on any of the threads to ask.

Hmm this is just an initial impression as fit would change as the shoe breaks in. I have not worn it more than 5 mins.

It is definitely wider than rain which i find NOT to be wide at all. I can wear rain in ee but the eee fits me better. Toe box would be closer to Detroit last or maybe even slightly wider. Instep is higher and i find it closer to 363MOD from EB that I'm a little afraid it could get too loose after breaking in.

If you have any specific last you want me to compare to, i can take a pic if i have that. I've quite a few carmina and eb.

Patrik - which Santos last is most similar to Carmina Simpson?

Also, do you have any dainite/ruber soled new arrivals on the board for spring (regardless of brand)?

Lastly, any chance we can get birds-eye views of the shoes online? I think its the best way (and many would agree) to judge the overall shape/style of a shoe.

I don't find rain wide either, but I can make the eee work. If they had a bit higher instep and a little more room in the toebox, they would fit well.
