    Thanks dude!!

I find your sizing in the Carlos Santos to be curious. So, you are a UK8 in Carmina Simpson, and a UK7 in Carlos Santos in the 187 last? I am wondering now if I should order another pair in UK8.5, to double check the sizing. On the Skoak website, it suggests to take your same size as the Carmina Simpson -- is this still the recommended suggestion? Because it looks like you are a full size down from that.

You are also a full size smaller on the EG and G&G, when Skoak recommends that you wear the same as your G&G / EG size?

Just trying to clear it up for the record!

With regard to EG, I size up because of width. Porobably, UK7,5 in F width would fit me better than UK8 in E width. I've never tried it, but that's what I suspect since size UK8 feels a tad to long but well width wise.

As for Carmina Simpson last, it never fit me well I sized up because of width. Also, the instep was to low.

From the shoes above, I'd say the Bestettis and Vass U-last fits me best. From SkoAB's stock, I'd probably say EB 804 in UK7 is the best fit.

Size UK8 on the 187 last would definitely not fit me, that I know for sure. Even the UK7,5 was to big/unwearable. The gentleman in store said the same thing as soon as he saw the shoes laced on my feet. It was obvious just by looking.

    Great stuff @DonRaphael

I'm guessing heel size, instep height, and overall length are going to be most important factors for most people.

It appears that CS is fairly generous in width, based on your size, and what @Leaves has said he remembers fitting.

Is it possible to buy G&G shoe futures? I don't bemoan the price increase, especially with the strong US dollar these days. But when I look back at posts from 2006 or whatever when G&G could be had for less than $1k USD with the swank old tress, I really wonder if stocking up could be a legitimate investment. Maybe now is the time for investing heavy in EB.

Hey @Leaves how do you tell Carlos Sanotos last? Is it written inside the shoe or on the box?

I'm sure this has been discussed before, so please forgive me: Can Enzo Bonafe GMTOs be ordered in narrow widths? Many thanks.

GMTOs are limited to a single width, so you would either have to go single MTO or find 3 (soon to be 4) people in the same width.

Yes investing in G&G would be very smart move. I am on board on that one. EB too but it's not as bad as G&G & EB price are justifable.

Thanks dudes. Been out of the shoe game for quite a while. Finally, a few of my pairs have to be shipped off for re-crafting.

The G&Gs are particularly excellent. I forgot how well they work for me. My instep is a bit low, which leads to the throat being closed off the bat, which is my only concern. No heel slippage or anything though.

As an aside, my first G&Gs were Grants in F width, size 9UK (these are E width, size 9.5UK which is probably a better fit for me). I bought those, with trees, for a little over $600 USD :). The times, they have changed!

Thanks dudes! Pretty stoked. Already kind of want another pair. First pair of St. James II, and they are seriously gorgeous.

Newcomer - shoes are stunning, but what's with the debris on the navy socks, lol.

    Those G&Gs are...wow.

In fact, I've discussed this with Gabriel before.
In the setting of a GMTO, you will first need 6 (instead of 3) consecutive pairs in one width before other widths can be added.
In light of the new price increase, I am not entirely sure how this will change.

Mate, thanks for all the guidance but that one bit in bold makes it all to be taken with a healthy pinch of salt. If you need more width, you should get the wider cut, not increase length.
