Looks awesome! too bad that i cant afford Another shoe from EB right now...

Another thing that´s too bad is that i´m starting to regret my MTO, have seen to many shoes from EB who is much more awesome then the one i ordered, fuck me. Big time. I have learned one thing from this, to Think twice Before you order a shoe for 5000.

Hot damn that will be a nice shoe. If it didn't have so many shoes in the pipeline, including a split toe and a separate MTO EB, I might be in for this.

    Aye Yai Yai,

I want mine to arrive NOW!! thanks for the pics, they look great, and the ruggedness will work with so many options.

I'm probably in the minority here but I find the hand burnished calf's shade a bit too light. I prefer (and bought) the darker brown version that Carmina stocked on their webstore.

I've always been attracted by the tan shade and have a few pairs of tan coloured shoes but generally find the darker browns more versatile.

That said, I would immediately purchase the jumpers if they were in the Tärnsjö leather [IMG]

I have way too many darker brown derby boots as it is. I would not have added these if they were a darker brown, though I find that version of the boot to be quite sharp.

Are those all in the UK sizing? What width do you wear in each as well as which last for each?

I'm just curious so we actually have a full list of sizing for all of the brands that Skoak caries and maybe others will then be able to put in what size/width/lasts each of us uses to really help people who have interest in moving up to these great shoes like we all have feel more comfortable about taking a risk in choosing the proper size!

that's all good ecwy, you might not be in the minority. I never thought I would be as receptive to tans and light shades but they can go with so much. I've got darker shades already too. And if I am offended by it, lighter can go darker with some creams. I noticed that there are many times when lighting can really alter the way the colour comes across on various monitors. The pics posted today really shows the variations of this particular colour. I do agree with you, the Tärnsjö look sweet, but not too diff than the jumpers on this end.

^^ The next batch of Grain Jumpers will be in a new type of grain. It'll be awesome. Available in August or so.

The problem with the hand finished grain was that a) it was very time consuming to do in the factory and b) it came out differently for each batch, which was not ideal for us.

Oh no, you can't do that! What do you mean it'll be awesome? More awesome than these? In what way? Do I need a pair from the next batch as well?

    ^ Be happy. ;)
In between the lines I read this was the last hand-burnished and -grained Jumper ever. So we got a limited edition run with no restock. Yay!

Evening all. Skoak's brown wingtips arrived yesterday after a roundabout route (thanks to Fedex). They are a darker uniform brown than on their website but they do look very good. I took Gabriel's advice of sizing down by 0.5 from my usual 10.5UK due to the Rain's higher instep and EE width. They fit snug from the 1st try-on, has good arch support and surprisingly with the smaller size, no obvious issues which would make me want to return them (they take the prize for being the snug-giest shoes I have!). Being right-handed, the right foot naturally feels more 'snug-gish'.

The Rain last to my mind could do with a tighter heel (they feel very slightly loose) but am sure with wear it would go away. Even with a supposed high instep, there is still a gap of 1cm at the laces, which is not a bad fit indeed. Overall, 'spot-on' sizing advice, 0.5 size down gave me the snug fit I was after and would be looking forward to doing business with Gabriel and the fellas at Skoak in future. Now I need to look at more storage space! This is a very bad habit...
