I confess a preference for red lining period, but there is no question that with that leather red is a far better match. So I vote for red lining. Tan second choice. Or gold - for da monayyy!

The lining is not a deal breaker for me, can do red or green.

i'd be fine with either red or green, but prefer some speed hooks.

Rain and Alcudia work with my instep where Simpson does not.

Between these 2, Rain would have the higher instep.

Have a look at the Rain. It's supposed to suit high insteps better (but also a tad more generous). However I'm still waiting for mine to arrive from Skoak so am only speaking from my research here. Am sure someone else would be able to assist more. Perhaps a bit of detail on what you are after or currently wearing?

Yes, Rain has a high instep. Forest is more of a normal instep. Other alternatives are Detroit (overall generous fit) and Soller as well as Inca. Please e-mail is for specific fitting advice.

Folks, again a Carmina last comparison questions

I fit well in a Rain and Forest, same size, half size up for Simpson though there, I find a bit of heel slippage as a result. Rain is my favorite fit but Forest is quite adequate.

If that's similar for you, how do you find the Oscar in the same size as Rain/Forest? Or indeed, the Soller as well?

Cards on the table: am interested in a pebble grain boot, either chukka or the jumper for more tweed/flannel combos or sometimes, denim and there's one available right now...
