My two (measly) orders were as follows:

    Thorpe MH71
Burgundy highland grain upper with hand finished pin grain shaft to match burgundy
    Brass eyelets
    Double dainite

    Galway on 202 last
Chestnut Utah with tobacco suede shaft
    Brass eyelets
    Flat welt
    Dainite

I can't wait until next fall to wear these boots.

Both boots sound marvelous, but I really look forward to seeing the Galway.

Sounds like the Thorpe is getting a lot of Luv lately.

I certainly don't think I ever lied. And don't remember saying I had moved on. I was originally planning mountain ram but dragged my feet on the leather and missed out. In the end though I think the kudu will be even superior for what I had in mind.

As Triple D says it only just came together. Unfortunately we had a ton of delays from the G&G leather supplier. I was originally pursing a grey kudu. But unfortunately after two weeks of attempts on Skoak's end G&G was unable to provide a sample of the leather. I also pursued Taupe kudu. Ultimately tan was the only available leather and this I decided to move forward. All the guys at Skoak went above and beyond to assist me abd I think it will be a very unique boot.

Sounds great, I'm happy to hear it worked out for you. This and the willow from EG might end up being my biggest regrets.

Ok, I guess your story makes sense then. My bad.

Was going to try for kudu but I thought it was gone.

    Wow, nice pickup!

And I had no idea you could request a leather and have it finished in a different color (burgundy pin grain? It's not a stock swatch from what I can see). Good choice.

    The Thorpe is so sexy.

    They look great, Moosic.
I am sure you got the expedited delivery, as I ordered them the same day and they are still on the way.
I always worry about getting slammed with extra fees from FedEx.
Anyway, they look awesome. I can't wait for mine to arrive
Hope the last is a good fit for you.
