Maybe. Whatcha thinking?

@scrolls

Might be in for that one...

Unfortunately I'm poor by SF standards. Carmina and C&J are currently the top of my shoe buying price range. Someday!

I might be interested in this one. Are you thinking exactly this make up?

Skoaktiebolaget said it can't be changed so yes. I originally emailed them asking about a 2 or 3-eyelet version but they said no can do. While I would prefer two or three, five doesn't bother me at all.

I was waiting on the Sinatra restock, but I could switch to the black deco Arran.

At this point I would be down for the Rothschild mailman shoe.

Neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow...... LOL

. Yes, I am looking to do a loafer and would consider Antibes, Monaco, or St. tropez. Really looking for a mid to dark brown but would consider anything.

Okay, so I'm being pressured now by the imminent price increase for EG. Where I'm at now is a pair of Galways on the 64-last. I'm not ready for a two-tone boot yet so it will be one-tone. I am quite attracted to the Brown Utah leather. Any comments on this makeup?

Also on sizing --- any suggestions?

- Carmina Oscar last --- UK 7 (perfect fit)
- C&J 341 --- UK 7E (think I could have gone with a 6.5E)
- C&J 325 --- UK 7E (think a 6.5E would have been better)
- Alden Barrie boots --- 7.5D (perfect fit)
- Alden Plaza boots --- 8D
- Viberg 2030 --- 7.5 (a 7 also works on this last)
- Viberg 2045 --- 7.5 (a 7 would have worked better, I think)

I've tried to give as many comparisons as possible so the more matchups with others will give me more confidence.

Potentially interested.

Except why wouldn't I want a boot? I would want a boot…

Rothschild mailman shoe GMTO details.

At this point I see no reason not to use the same details that Leffot used:

This is a winterized version of Gaziano & Girling's classic Rothschild oxford. With a storm welt and Ridgeway soles, it's tough enough to get you through rain, sleet, snow, and anything else that the season may throw your way. Made in beautiful chestnut hatch grain, it pairs well with blues and greys.
Features: MH71 last, Chestnut Hatch Grain, Ridgeway soles

And brown Utah on 64 will be great!!

Thanks, ryden. Your input on this is especially appreciated since I think our tastes in this area are quite similar.

I was convinced that the 64 was what I wanted but your pic made me think a bit more. I think I'll stick with the 64 for this makeup and use the 202 for something in smooth leather later on. This Galway thing can sure become a slippery slope. Just like Vibergs were for me just recently (and kind of still are).
