Yes, it's a very warm brown hue. Ages nicely too @RogerP.

Thanks, I'm glad you like them. Experimenting a bit with lighting and different set ups. It's hard to shoot in the store because of so many different light sources and daylight seeping in. We're not photographers any of us so it's a steep learning curve. Hopefully we can find a nice solution with good quality product pics and still keep a personal touch, I'm not overly fond of light box photos.

    I have a nice solution.

You send the shoes to me (in my size), I take some kick ass real world photos of them and I get to keep the shoes.

Problem solved. Everybody wins. Your welcome.

Absolutely, did you see this style we made up a while back? Removing the toe cap is easy peasy.

You are correct, sir, a Carmina pair. Though mine are two eyelet. Thanks Patrik.

With derby boots from the likes of Vass, EG and St. C in the rotation, let me say that Bonafe boot is nothing short of a staggering value.

^ Always loved those. I would like a similar model in darker brown for next winter. Plan to MTO it this summer.

Could it be this boot but on the same last and styled the same as the current etrusco derby? Would want the lower part of the boot to be the same style and color as the current derby.

    thanks!

EDIT: sorry if there was confusion on my original post. I would like a boot version of the etrusco wingtip derby, not the plain toe derby.

This looks remarkably similar to a St.C boot I have been fawning over...

@budapest12 if you need a partner to MTO that boot with, I'll be down when the time comes.

I will definitely float it when I'm ready but I am considering -- gasp -- a heavy vibram sole (sacrilege!) and maybe even fur lining. I know this will ruffle feathers. If I go that route I will gladly pay my 15% premium. If not, perhaps we will have an easy time rounding up 3. Either way I need to take a breather on boots for a while!

I wouldn't do a vibram sole or fur lining - but I'd do all the other "normal" stuff :)

Good call. I am thinking of a second pair in burgundy.
The St. C. is almost absurdly awesome, but you would be hard pressed to surpass the value punch of the Bonafe. If someone wants to point to a better boot for the money, I am all ears.
