Just got these yesterday. I really love this make up:

I'm already on the second set of laces :) anybody know how to prevent tearing? I've seen suggestions to file the inside of the speed hook. Does that actually work?

Don't tighten the laces when they are in the hooks, do it before and just lay them around the hooks.

There is a film here somewhere showing how to do it....

^^^ That's what I do and don't have any issue with shredded laces.

Thanks, going to try that today. Maybe I was lacing them too tight around the hooks.

The lads over in the Enzo Bonafé thread has started up this GMTO:

    • Dainite sole
    • Price: 5500 SEK ex VAT
    • Deposit: 50% deposit, 50% before delivery

For convenience sake, please write Enzo Bonafé GMTO Peccarry Balmoral in subject line. Lead time is about 3 months.

Example of Button Boot with black peccary shaft:

Normal style button boot (on the 363):

EDIT: my mistake, I thought you guys were doing a Balmoral boot but it was a Button Boot.

I am not on this project but I would suggest that you guys consider Bonafe Millerighe soles instead of Dainite. Millerighe soles seem to provide more traction than Dainite.

FYI peccary is supposed to be super warm (in case any of you live in warm climates)

You can get any last you want. I'm making a pair for myself on the 74945 last in suede. Placing the order as soon as I know if they can do a seamless Chelsea. It won't be a full seamless style though, there will still be a seem at the heel.
