Thank-you, everyone! I've asked before and am probably getting annoying but want to be sure before I make a big mistake.

I have a low instep and my feet are relatively narrow in the heel area. For example, Carmina Forest Oxfords in UK 8.5 are about as loose as I can go around the heel area without having serious slippage issues, but I can't size down to UK 8 because I need the length and toe room.
I'm not ruling out the possibilty, that the last might have worked somehow, but I really didn't want to risk ending up with a pair of shoes that's either too short in length or to loose around the heel.

On customs, I had one go through in what looks like 4 minutes today. At this point they have been bombarded by Skoak taped boxes into the US, and just toss them through.

My wife saw a nice blue envelope on my desk the other day and opened it thinking it was an invitation. I heard my full name yelled and "please tell me you didn't buy a $5,000 shoe!". Not that I'm hiding anything, but future envelopes may go straight to the trash.

Tifosi, what about from your carmina rain size? Half size up from that for EG? Are the lasts really that much slimmer?

    Thanks! You measure 8.5D, right?

    I'm TTS 8E
    Barrie 8D/7.5E
Oscar 7.5UK (fits like Rain, allegedly)
