@Leaves any suggestions?
I would be interested in this.
I posted this in the gentlemensfootwear thread as well:
Can somebody tell me why we don't do more MTOs on the Carmina Robert last? I have a suede balmoral boot on the Robert that I love, and I find it fits very similar to the Forest last but with a sharper almond toe. I can post some pics if anybody wants to see them.
@leaves said we'd have to wait till the carmina factory reopens to get confirmation on whether we can have this boot on the rain last. Really hope carmina allows this though
Glad to hear it, thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it!
Thanks, warms my heart to hear from happy clients.
Sorry, for what?
Robert and Forest fits very similar, Robert is more of a boot last if I remember correctly. No idea why it's not more popular, I guess a lot of people think it's too similar to Forest.
@Leaves sorry, in a previous post I made for a Bonafe adelaide in chestnut brown MTO idea. Me and a few of the other members would like to see some samples of the types of brown calf that Bonafe offers, if possible. I posed a picture of an adelaide made by Bestetti to showcase the rounded last and details, and the colour range I'd like to work with.
On another note I'll agree that Robert and Forest are similar, but I find that the Robert last is a little more stylish and "Shapley" if that makes sense.
I agree. And for whatever reason Robert fits me a bit better in a standard width.
^^ same here. For some reason I find it to fit slightly better then the forest, and with just as much toe room.
I'd like to simplify the design options to create a versatile boot that is equally at home in the office and the weekend - a homage/ update of the Alden SF boot in some ways:
Bonafé model Modified 3751
Upper: Plum Museum Calf
Shaft: Plum Grain (vs. black grain)
1. Plain toe vs. Cap
2. Chained Norvegese in a color that blends in with the welt vs. contrast[/QUOTE]
Very close to something I would consider. Love most of the deets! My proposal would be:
Entire boot in plum grain (is this even an option?), else plum museum/plum grain would work
Brass eyelets (would look great with that color) or blind eyelets
Single Dainite sole
Cap toe (preferred)
Norvegese looks stunning. 946 last is also sleek for a boot, not something I considered but love it on the EB Austerity I bought.
I am interested in enzo bonafe wholcut above. Is the color straight dark burgundy? Also I wear 10UK in Fitzpatrick shoes, would you advise getting the same from EB?
Sorry this is the pair in question
@ Leaves are there any plans for a restock of the Enzo Bonafe black button boots?
Brown Utah...From Skoak's blog...
@Leaves what other colors does the Utah come in? I know you posted the tan and above is the brown.
