I am looking for simple, classic, styles that would be versatile (maybe solids?). I would think navy, black and burgundy would be good choices, but am open to others.

I'm personally just looking for dotted ties, which seem to be a relatively elusive beast. If you're just looking for solids, I've had luck with j.crew and PRL as mentioned on ebay and on discount for around 10-25 dollars.

Thanks for the suggestions - Ill see about doing a phone order with uniqlo...where is Muji? The results that pop up on google look like a furniture store with very sparse clothing results. Is this the same company?

I am open to anything that's not "too busy".

There are a few Hugo Boss 100% cotton knit ties for $14 at Century 21. I saw some dark gray, light gray, medium brown and black. No more than 2 or 3 in each color, though. I'll proxy if someone wants one.

I would be interested in medium brown and black. Thanks.
