Are there sources for knit ties other than Kent Wang / Howard Yount? I'm looking for a 2-2.5'' knit navy tie with dots, preferably cream or pink. HY seems to be 3'' and KW 2.75''. Also, is there any way to get them without paying 65-75 dollars

I am pure small timer and would prefer not to pay so much for a knit tie.

JCrew has them on sale occasionally. They may not have a dotted tie, but they are slim and cheap.

Muji always has knit ties, about 2"-2.5" and they usually end up on sale too, but even not on sale, theyre only about $30. Brooks outlets have wider more traditional knit ties too.

have snatched a few from club monaco and j.crew at 9.95 or something a piece, 100% silk and the tags say made in italy, but feels really synthetic.

I bought 4 of them for $15/ea in a variety of colors at Nordstrom Rack. They are the thicker weave which I like and about 3" in width.

Caveat - I ruined one the first day I wore it. Walking to work, my messenger back strap rubbed along it and pulled a few threads. It wasn't ruined, but I could see the threads unaligned and it bothered me.

Then after work, I took off my sunglasses as I got off the train and an arm caught a weave, pulling and completely ruining the tie. Literally this tie became ruined by one thread getting caught and pulled. It took 2 seconds.

I'm glad I paid $15 instead of the $90 retail. I like these ties but they're so nonsensical that I can't see myself buying anymore of them. Way too delicate.

Try thrift stores. I've picked up about 10-12 thin Rooster knit ties in the last week from local thrifts.

I am also looking for the same. Sierra Trading Post has some Altea ones, but are $60.

Are you guys looking specifically for dotted knits, or simply Rooster style?
