For the last few years I've been using Nivea for Men face wash, their scrub and their face lotion, as well as their undereye cream. But I am wondering if perhaps it's time for a better product, so I just ordered Baxter of California's undereye cream, which I have some hopes for to be better.

My question is this - is Baxter of California a good line of products overall? Should I spend some money getting their other offerings, or are there other lines out there for men that are much better?

Thanks,
-Jake

There are already a few threads like this. One of them has quite a lot of info in it.

There are threads which focus on specific products, I was hoping to consolidate and have a thread dedicated to the brands themselves.

Does brand loyalty to a particular line make sense because it's awesome, or are very few of them worth they hype?

Sorry if that wasn't clear from my original post.

Thanks,

i've been a long time user of baxter of california products
overall it's a good line, good value for the price point and decent quality products
there are some products in their line that are great (face scrub, face wash, shampoo, glycerin bars, body wash) that are staples for me but some that are complete duds (face masque, lip balm)

menscience is also another all around good men's only line that i like but i also like items from korres, skeen and brave soldier

i don't think it's wrong to mix and match products from other lines to suit your needs

I suppose the products from Baxter I was interested in were the shampoos and body washes. I've read a bit about Korres, but there doesn't seem to be a good one stop men's product review place online, except for reading threads here (which I've done) but even still they are usually for one product or one issue. I don't know skeen or brave soldier. What products to do you use from them?

Thanks,
-Jake

go to www.menessentials.com and read their forum
there is discussion on all sorts of men's only products including products from companies that they don't sell

for baxter, their shampoo is very pepperminty but gives your scalp a good tingling sensation; the body washes are good at lathering up well from a small amount and also aren't drying - i only really care for the italian lime scent though

for brave soldier, their lip defender lip balm is one of the best on the market for a gel type lip balm in that it's thick but not greasy and lasts all day; their code blue is an excellent after shaving balm and is designed also for use on your body after waxing and shaving body parts; similarly they have a shower shave body shave cream if you shave any body parts

for skeen, it's mainly a men's anti-aging line with good quality but strong under eye treatment, anti wrinkle night serums and the such, with different products designed for different skin types etc.; they've also now started to sell face washes and shampoo but i have not tried any of those yet

hope that helps
