The dial on this Skagen is very similar to the Stowa Antea (lettering typeface, especially). Seems like a good, inexpensive alternative to the Stowa.

Does anyone know if this Skagen mesh bands can be replaced with leather ones?

Be a balla. The Stowa is much nicer-looking.

5 words I cannot compute... Next, we'll try to find an inexpensive alternative to Skagen?

Well, I have a Skagen just like the one pictured but with a brown face and brown strap and love the watch for my casual everyday watch. It's not something I wear with suits or anything but for Khakis and jeans its great. Super light weight and I always get complements on it. Anyways, the other watch looks great as well but I love the Skagen.

Any sense in upgrading to the COSC ETA 2824-2 movement?

My Stowa keeps great time w/o a COSC movement, but obviously the only way to be sure is to get the certified movement...

  • Yes, I’m tacky like that.

  • No way José! Dress watch with leather strap for me!

  • No watch at all.
