Size EU 53?

Hi all,

Found an Isaia suit online with size EU 53, can not find anywhere online what that size is in UK sizing, can anyone help me with this? Suit is also for €45, would that be considered a good buy?

and forgot: does the hand writing on the size tag say anything? Or is it meaningless?

Handwriting on tag is possibly due to suit being originally on sale form whatever retailer it came from and prevents returns usually, but possible someone just made shop notes on it.

EU53 is around a US/UK42 given conversion (53cm half chest *2 / 2.54cm[per inch] = 41.7 inches. Not a common size but probably fits in between the 52 and 54 standard options.

The cut of the suit with the 3 buttons looks a little dated, so unless that is your style I don't think it's a good buy.

It would be a 43, an uncommon size that stores like BB used to stock.
