Some of you may know that I'm attending the Naval Academy Summer Seminar in about one week (gah. that came up fast). Anyway, I checked off a sailing course as something I'd like to do while I was there. For this, I obviously need some sailing shoes. I purchased some Sperry Top-Siders just recently. And I was in a hurry when I got them and had socks on, but wasn't really worrying about that.

When I put them on a few days after I got them, I was wearing them with no socks and they were really rubbing on my heel. My toes were a little pinched but not bad. I didn't wear them because I didn't want to be in constant agony. Should I go back and get a half-size or so larger? Or do they form to my feet and should I just stick it out?

I'd appreciate replies as swiftly as possible since I'll be leaving on June 1. Thanks for any responses.

I'd get a size bigger. (Or half.) A really good shoe store should be able to advise. Any shoe that pinches is not right.

    Navystyles,
Save the pain, and go a size up.
