1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Fok on behalf of the entire Styleforum team

What happened to IROH'S guides? Did he self-delete or was something else involved? He was the best poster on the Internet and now all that knowledge he tried to share with us is gone forever. I demand answers.

I rarely come to this thread, but I did so tonight to say just this. Not the bar part - you said it so well - but the rest.

The Indian love guru and his spam are back again in force.

Do we sound as though we need a lot of marriage/love counselling here on SF?

I think I got all of the spam from the latest infestation.

You know, I was thinking about the spam issue while I was deleting the posts (which I do often), and I think I have an idea on how we could keep it in check. Maybe we could think about deputizing someone as a sort of dedicated "spam mod" who is exclusively responsible for killing spam. It wouldn't be perfect, but I'm betting it would at least create a substantial decrease in how much spam our members see.

    Just a thought.

Y'know, I could be wrong, but I thought that I remembered that someone had been deputised to act as just such a mod, mainly because he seemed to be on SF pretty much all of the time...

Pretty sure there IS someone who IS responsible for that. Last I heard, he IS more known for deleting posts that hurt hIS feelings rather than deleting spam.

Stitchy has not been online as much as normal recently because of some personal, non-Styleforum, related reasons. He is spamminating when he is online, and has also taken on some other duties.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

Fine, thanks. Just a lot of changes at home/community/work. Leaves me with less free time. All good.

If my information is correct I think we all owe Horns a huge "thumbs up." Horns, good work!
