1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Yeah. My ban hand, got tired by the end of that. Ironically, watched the World Cup at the same time. One spammer registered 34 usernames under a single IP.

Most accurately: The bodies in which all men are incarnated have an end. All men do not die if one goes beyond physical organs of perception. But materialism has a justification if not generalized.

Shouldn't it be 29 years by now?

It's that time again... site is overrun with spammers advertising streaming sites.

Maybe this has been answered before, but why is ANYONE (non-mod) allowed to start more than 10 new threads in the span of a few hours? Why would anyone need to do this, for reasons other than spamming?

Can't the forum rules be set to disallow members from doing this? Have a box appear saying: "Sorry, you've maxed out your allotted number of thread you can create for the next 8 hours. Try again later."

You'd cut down on the number of spam threads that way. Unless the spammers have a robots/sweatshop labor to circumvent the email registration and CAPTCHA requirements, and can make a gazillion accounts...

Sorry. I've got dinner to cook. Don't have 20-30 minutes to go through 100+ spam threads and hide individually. [IMG]

We're going to have to wait until Stitchy wakes up.

Edit: I cleaned up the 40-50 or so that were clogging up CM. Couldn't let that be. GC.....if only I had time.

I still like my idea of a one button to nuke a whole user account and remove all their threads/posts.

didn't you guys (Fok) say it was good theory but technically hard to do?

I'm on mobile right now, so mod tools are a bit cumbersome, but I think I cleaned up the worst of it.
