1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

On rare occasions, yes. Ok maybe not so rare.

    Has harvey_birdman flown away?

Or encountered a vicious, disgruntled midget client. There are no HB posts for a while, and even his witness protection UN hasn't posted in a while.

    OK, Thanks

There is a big RICO case going down in Pennsylvania involving Carmine "Big Tuna " Badalamenti, Tony " Tough Turbot" Pesceatori, and Mackie " Mighty Mackerel " Mangialone.

The case stinks and I guess HB is not involved.

Thanks for deleting all the spam, Clags, IS and Mr G.

I must've banned 30 users and deleted 300 posts (really, threads) in the past couple days. For a while on Sat afternoon I just hung out and banned about a dozen, right after they registered and before they'd had a chance to post. (I get an immediate pm for each newly registered user.)

I shouldn't say because of omerta, but generally the commisione picks the names of big shots.

Tuna, Turbot, and Mackerel are all Capos in the Philly Zuppa da Pesce family.

How many legit new members do you roughly get per day? Maybe lock all accounts until moderators accept their registration for now? Due to the massive amounts of spam lately, it seems like a good move, unless the legit registrations go into the hundreds per day. Of course, this will only work until the bots choose "regular" nicknames. But in times of war, you have to build up your defenses somehow.

Good to hear. His particular brand of humor is missed, at least by me.

Oh Harold falcon, where art thou? You can't just abandon us in times of spam war.
Anyway, hope your issues work out as well as possible. PM me or something if you feel like it.

Why is in stitches seemingly having post number competition. it just upsets the universal balance. [IMG]

i'm not joking, it just feels weird when i see him at 2 or 3. guess i'm used to the status quo.
