1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Fok on behalf of the entire Styleforum team

Ok, it took Style Forum crashing literally 10 times to write one post. I'm done until it is fixed. Just too aggravating, and time consuming.

Can we get a "post a random discount code you may want because I'm not using it" thread.

The sales thread in SW is about to be shit on with tres bien codes for the next 30 pages.

You're really upset that people are actually contributing and being helpful? I much prefer it to constantly asking if yoox has a code or when xyz will have their next drop and how much like we have some kind of crystal ball.

^ not upset at all. I'll gladly give mine to someone. It's just annoying when the next week and half will be filled with people asking for codes especially once the sale starts and these single use codes start being used. There are gonna be dozens of "anyone with a tbs code? The one user abc posted was already used" Posts.

And I'll remove those as fast as I see them. Not sure if theres any punishment on the backend, I hope so but don't know of anything actually being done about it.

WTF? I've never said crap about monetizing SF but auto-load videos that blare audio if you accidentally mouse over them are not cool.

I think it has always been said that those are not supposed to be there.

If you see one, take a screen shot or view the source and copy the bit where it is coming from so that they can track down the misbehaving ads.

Thanks for the tip as I've never paid any attention to all the complaints about monetizing this. Fok, in case it helps, it was an add where the actors were all riding road bikes.

Quit mentioning road bikes, else it's going to be all road bike ads all the road biking time! :paranoia:

I can't quote a post and type on my phone because the fucking ads at the bottom of the screen completely block out the post drafting bar.

Is that what you're referring to as well stitch?

swipe the ad to the right and it will go away, and you can then quote and reply. sometimes you have to pull the screen down to get it to react to the swipe. small pain, but not so horrible as the toyota ads that rendered mobile unusable.

Sf is the only site that is unbelievably slow on my ipad. I've tried chrome and safari. TYping in particular is a pain
