1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

People also are living a lot longer which complicates things, I would think. My dad is 77 and his mother is 96 and they both have health issues. There is a lot of extended family around to help but if I was obligated to take both of them in to my home it would be very difficult, in terms of living space just for starters. But to Matt's point, if we didn't know they were going to be getting SS and medicare we'd have planned for them differently long ago.

I consider paying my own rent a sign of being a grown up.

In my case, a habitual drunkard of a grown up but a grown up nonetheless.

I would live with my parents if it meant I got to live in their house.

I could write pages, in several different domains, on the current topic.

I would be happy to live my parents or my wife's parents (assuming a suitable home) if they lived in the same city.

Stitchy, maybe you can change your settings so that "Site Only" is the default? That's how it is for me, and my browsing experience hasn't changed.

Spoilers are acting weird. Page has fully loaded, and clicking the spoiler either takes me to the top or bottom of the page, and may or may not actually reveal the content of the spoiler.

I would be honored if my kids asked me to live with them.

Uh, you need to be browsing it *desktop*, liek a bawse. :D

The WAYWT thread's like this for me, too. So squished, so tiny! I can only see stitches lost in his corner, clutching a doll-sized coat in his patented manner.

I keep getting the Toyota ad when trying to load the "When is the next Brooks Brothers sale?" thread. Which is probably a good place to sell Toyotas.
