1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Is it just something on my computer, or is the site displaying differently today? The portion with the actual forum discussion is compressed horizontally, with the photo from the Trunk Club ad blown up in the background.

^ Same for me. It's awful. The add as wallpaper is not only ugly, but annoying as it's easy to accidentallly click it. And the formatting is fucked up in-thread with everything jammed up in a slim horizontal stripe making it hard to read. Hopefully it's just a transitional state.

Don't know if it's just me, but recently when I click the QUOTE button, it no longer takes me to the Reply box. Also, after I comment, I now need to go "back" twice in order to get back to the previous page. Mac OS 10 Mavericks, Chrome 31.0.1650.48

What serves me right? I mean, it may in fact serve me right, but I just don't know what's being served.

same here. it goes to the box at the top instead of at the bottom. i only get the regular reply box when i am multi quoting and then i hit quote on the last post i am quoting. if i go to reply at the end of the posts i get the lame, longer loading, text editor at the top of the page.

so i now just always click multi on the post i want to quote, and then click quote on the last post in the thread and delete the content i dont want.

kind of annoying but i least i get the quicker loading text reply box.

Wow. In some threads, the actual thread content now only shows in the middle 3rd of my 5:4 screen, while the two remaining 3rds on either side are either a shitty add or just whitespace.

The background advertisement is forcing the threads to condense in width.

This also screws up link targets. Your browser goes to the link target, but then the ad finishes loading and squishes the text. This causes it to reflow and get longer and now all of the sudden you are no longer looking at the post that you were linked to.

Easiest way to see it is to click on a link to the "newest post" in a subscribed thread. If it is somewhere near the end of a page, you will see it for a second, but then the whole thread will get squished and you will no longer see the right post.

Makes me not want to join the trunk club.

    @Fuuma, you need to do this: [ @ ] username [ / @ ] , without the spaces.

That is complete and utter bullshit, well it's actually like any other bracketing thing on the forum so it makes sense.

Or you can hit the "@" button above the text box next to all the other stuff like that. Added bonus of auto fill as you type the UN. Big help when tagging people like tiralueriererre1 (sp?)

    :)

Even if a non asshole tags you as a matter of fact.

You can turn off the feature in your preferences though.
