I'd be fine with that, but I think Having a Ball really captures my true essence.

I'm not online at all these days but someone just PM'ed me about the new closing of the FS:Other archive and the loss of all the threads in there. I just perused the new rules and I can't see how the forum would handle threads like the Fragrance Split, Sales, and Gift Card threads. Is there a way to do this? My hard work being down the drain aside, I think these threads were a benefit to the forum and something that shouldn't get killed off in the name of progress.

If this has been discussed and I missed it I apologize.

Also, to reiterate the slowness issue - I'm logging on from a public library, just to answer PM's, and the site COMPLETELY KILLS older version of IE. Its absolutely awful. Half the time it causes the browser to crash.

Hope everyone is well. Yours in perpetual anger and frustration.

We will figure out some place for those threads. In the meantime, we'll probably house them in MC. Yeah, sorry about older versions of IE. I was going to suggest Chrome, on which the system is blazing fast, but I guess that's not an option for you. Again, sorry.

Can someone please fire a shot across jeromestyle's bow?

He has started nearly FORTY threads in MC over the last week or so, and it looks like TWELVE in total... just today.

It's like he starts a thread the moment anything pops into his mind, and the threads are nearly all  in both content and discission.

Hmmm... interesting case. I took a look, and while a lot of the threads seems sorta dumb, they are not particularly trollish or offensive, and we've never censured anyone for just being plain dumb. Maybe some MCer should start the equivalent of the SW&Ds "Random fashion thoughts" thread. Maybe someone should suggest that Jerome put all his stuff there.

Can you remove his thread in SWD and put it in "random fashion thoughts" or "short questions"?

Interesting consequence: with the URL of the thread including the thread title now, many threads are hitting my firewall/filter software at work. Can't be changed but I just thought I would mention that to folks for when they start threads. For instance, right now, I'm missing the wonderful thread on the Oregon political sex scandal as "sex" is blocked and part of the URL for that thread.

The boss of your office is a cunt, I suggest you try to punch him in the stomach (if you're flexible enough). Can you try using some of these proxy website things?

Since the time I broke my laptop in half I can't read the new forum. Just throwing that out here.

There is, but the classified "forums" cannot have actual threads in them. I am waiting to figure out where we can put all of those threads now. We certainly don't want to lose the work put into the threads.
