Member Slammyman was spamminated. He was running a campaign on the forum to take advantage of traffic to Amazon, etc... This is strictly prohibited. Any members trying the same **** will get gone the same way.

Ban hammer wielded after a stormy night in my PM box.

While we are certainly tougher on FS violations than we used to be, when you feel that you have an exceptional case, we are generally pretty receptive to working something out for you. When you break the rules, and send us 'your forum is marsupialed' PMs...we are...well, less than receptive. And we may well mock you. Because...well, we don't really care that much

Responding to that by reinsulting me (I was asleep by then), and then sending another PM noting my place of residence and calling me a "******* ****" probably won't make you any friends. It would also make you racially misguided since I am white, but aside from that, a subsequent apology won't be your salvation.

Byebye.

lawl...Alex the camel has...two socks....

So among my morning's PMs including the kerfuffle above, I wake up to a message from a different member at around the same time requesting a name change. Add J to the CC to execute as he sees fit and recommend that - with only a few weeks on the board and four posts, he may as well just start a new ID.

I just do an IP check...it's the same dude.

Cheeky.

He was using the socks to make unreasonable offers on his own sales threads (ie $80 offers on $135 shoes) as bumping tools.

Anyhow, both alter egos dead.

say, 10 minutes after or so.

The easiest way, as discussed previously, would be to give me spamination powers.

Oh, yeah, and anything with shopping.us in the footer (or message body*, for all I care) can go as well.

While I agree that you would probably dedicate a lot of time to this task, I would be worried that a lot of this time would be dedicated to the abuse of power and the amassing of more power

I'd never want to be a full-on mod. **** that. Those guys put up with too much bullshit. I just usually am on the site at rather strange and traffic-less hours (tonight excluded b/c I'm off work) and want to be able to get rid of that **** without having it ruin my threaks.
