Yeah, and really more so than the seepage, it's the killing of the wonderfully spontaneous dumb by DT. What a strange complaint I know... I just remember when it was mostly funny instead of a self-promoting race to top one another. Maybe that's nostalgia.


That's a fair criticism, and one I've heard before from other erstwhile members. The problem is that if you leave it to spontaneity...you don't necessarily get much in the way of content. Alternatively, some good threads can come from awful OP's.

it's all part of SF's rich pageant. DT is usually about as funny as CE is thoughtful (though there are frequent enough exceptions to both to make them interesting). And Metro is always going to be an irritating self-absorbed troll, just as Manton is going to be enraged, matt is going to be grumpy and Vox is going to be ... well, Vox-like.
