How can you plead a case when "makes a decision about you" usually means ban or timeout? Also, I believe most of these decisions are made emotionally, and not based on facts (at least in my case). Has anyone here been banned more than me?

At this hour? By the way the only time I notice the clock is off is when someone whines about it here.

They must like him enough to keep him around, and be irritated enough by him to give him time outs left and right. Really, its sort of a backhanded compliment. P.S. don't press your luck!

Perhaps your tune will change when you have walked in my shoes. BTW, it was a legitimate question I still haven't received an answer for. And I don't mean since I posted it a few posts up.

Thanks

well let's roughly recap here shall we...

  • you break some rule in B&S, get reported, get timed out
  • you whine about snitchybitchez around here, attention focused on one other member
  • you and that other member chased each other all over the board, ******** up threads by the dozen
  • you are both told in no uncertain terms to stay away from each other
  • PMs ensued
  • other stayed away from you
  • you start a thread to the effect of 'should mods be allowed to tell us to stay away from each other'
  • you get timed out cos that is just plain insolent
  • you PM mod and say 'but one thing has nothing to do with the other'. Mod not stupid.
  • you get allowed back
  • shitstorm ensues, in which you tell a mod (ie me), among other things that you hope all his life turns to **** and all his dreams die. I'm paraphrasing there, since....
  • you edit that one out cos even you realise you have overstepped there
  • you get timed out again
  • you then start four (or was it five) other accounts and start posting. This is instantly bannable. They are instantly banned.
  • you email a different mod with a goodbye cruel world note
  • you realise that while accounts 2-6 have been banned, account 1 has had its time out lapse
  • you reappear and say the mods are too emotional
You're totally right. Reading over that, ya, you've totally been hard done by....

me too. Last week it nearly made me late. Seriously. When I started my 'what should I take to a brunch' thread, I was watching it thinking 'ok, gotta leave in 20' or something...then I look to the corner of the screen to the real clock and was like 'fuuuuck...gotta leave like noooow'. I blame you for this Mr. J.

Matt, I say with all honesty that your summation above is mostly true. I can see how you thought my starting that thread might have been a jab directed at you, it wasn't. But perception is reality, so I understand your decision on that one.

You know I'm not some rebel spammer that is trying to make your life more difficult. I'd like to believe that while I do engage in lollery from time to time I do add value edgewise. Correct me if I'm wrong here. Sorta like my posting WAYWRN pics in exchange for critiquing others that post there. A balancing act.

I also think that not unlike any enforcement position, the times you cross paths with members are mostly for negative reason, so most of the positive they've done goes unnoticed. So the one, maybe 11 times we've crossed paths it's been on a neg note. I get that. But also, therein lies my frustration.

The reason I keep on with this is that despite momentary lapses in judgment on my part I want all of you mods to know how much I enjoy this site and would like to continue being a part of it. I harbor no ill will. But I don't think that has come across yet and some of you are just waiting for another reason to ban me. Right?

Man, bris - it's a wonder that you stick around, given how you've been treated by the mods.
