Jesus, dude — didn't you just finish getting folks to talk you out of buying fancy coffee beans because you don't have a job?Since we're raising money for RMH and ump tea em just dropped a TO-hammer and it's the Christmas spirit etc etc etc.... I'd like to remind the mods way back when there was the offer to have members TOd for X amount of money for Y amount of time.
I will make a $150 donation to have @Ataturk banned for two months. @LA Guy and @emptym
It was. And in this rare case I actually have proof, albeit it was a pm with a member whom I see is currently in a timeout. And perhaps it wasn't?

I have no beef with you, nor with any members of this forum. I was making an observation and it wasn't meant to say that I did not want you posting. I find your posts to be well informed and substantive. Sorry if it was taken the wrong way.
How on earth do you progress to be an active member in this forum?!
Seems like members here are old timers with thousands of posts, yet the only active threads seem to be bickering left/right politics and "appreciation" threads that are honestly too long to sift through and contribute to..
I guess I'll continue to lurk and post where I can..
Just skip straight to the end of any of the massive threads.
Or help the forum out by contributing to the small threads (that typically get rolled off the front page of the more popular forums).
I think what happens is that people end up tied to threads they have already posted in or subscribed to (that "Watched threads" link in the upper right hand corner). If you don't sift through the main page of a subforum, you'll never see new threads created by someone...you'll just keep posting in these massive threads. And then because people are subscribed to these massive threads and keep posting in them, they get bumped to the top, making it even harder to see brand new threads.
If you want to talk about shoe maintenance, there's a thread for that. You don't have to read the whole thing, maybe just the last couple of pages to see what's up and then you can dive in with the posting.
There has also been a trend towards discussion and random question style threads--so instead of starting new threads to ask small questions, people just post in there. Again, not something you need to read the backstory on...you can just dive right in and ask/answer questions.

Welcome! Most of the time I'm just trolling or joking but I sincerely hope you find a niche here and contribute! Some of us are cool. One day I'll be someone....Thanks for the feedback! Looking forward to ask and contribute.
@admin , is there a way to get visibility of occurences of edits to text of a classified listing (the "overview" tab)? I suspect the Ts and Cs on a recent transaction were altered after I made payment. There's no associated "update" post after the sale (are these autocreated for every edit?) but I'm wondering if the text in the main listing was altered.
