At what point do we all just acknowledge that the forum update was a piece of shit?

    What’s wrong with it?

Granted I am not super active as of late, but other than the standard and general process of acclimating to changes, the update has not presented any issues for me on my laptop or on mobile.

Primarily my problem is that there is no mobile version. The desktop version is, and always has been, very unpleasant to look at

second, the spammers seem to be going more berserk than usual. I am not sure whether that is due to flaws in the software, or inattention of the moderators.
But do new posters really need to be able to make threads? Especially when there are so many "general help/advice" threads?

thirdly, apart from an inner cabal of users circle-jerking each other, and the john elliott thread, the place is pretty much dead.
This was partly due to the overlong hiatus between the old and new, but perhaps might also be due to general displeasure with the new visual appearance and mechanics

I see a mobile version, maybe it's a preferences thing?

Mobile version works fine for me on my phone.

Bit wonky on the tablet though. The responsive design mostly resorts to the desktop version when my 7" tablet is in landscape mode...but it is a little too awkwardly cramped with the righthand sidebars in place.
