Hi all,

Hoping you can help. I've seen in a few magazines retro-style ties that have a single stripe detail (rather than a repeating pattern). Here's what I mean:

Looks great I reckon, and I want one. Trouble is I can't for the life of me find many styles (other than the Gucci ones above...which I'm not particularly keen on). Anyone know of anything? Or know what the correct style is called?

Thanks in advance.

This month's GQ had a $50 article and had a CK tie like that in it, I like it.

I'm starting to like it. Hope to add some of these to my collection soon.

Thanks folks. It seems to be called a "placement stripe" tie. Will keep looking.

That Gucci tie would so much nicer without the gucci logo. Such a shame to ruin a good tie

I don't know the name of that style but here's another example from Band of Outsiders:

I appreciate the info, but I too think I will pass. Not my style, that's for sure.

I love it. I have a few vintage single-striped ties that I should really wear more often. It's a good style.

Re-parse as I've seen in a few magazines retro-style ties that have a single "stripe detail [composed of potentially many stripes]" rather than a "repeating pattern".
