I am building a media room with flat-screen, wall-mounted television in my apartment. The room is fairly compact and is going to double as a den and guest bedroom, so I would like to keep the clutter to a minimum. To that end, I am thinking of installing a single-component home theater system like the Yamaha YSP-1100 Digital Sound Projector in lieu of a conventional five-speaker system:

Does anyone have experience with this system or a similar one? I am not an audiophile, so I will be satisfied with good performance.

I noticed it this weekend. I like the idea if it works.

A listening experience in home/apt is probably the only solution.
