I finally saw this movie the other night.

Elijah Wood in Chucks, yes. Clive Owen, no. It looked very strange for a tough guy in his 30-40s to be wearing them, much less in red.

My father is in his 50s and still wears prision issue chucks. That prooves that there is no age limit.

I think Clive Owen looked fine, but I do think that most older guys look strange in them.

I've never worn them, I wear a size 13 and I have always thought that they would make me look ridiculous. I guess I just have never wanted to attract too much attention to my big feet.

I'm 6'4", an athletic 220 pounds and have size 14 feet.

I haven't worn Chucks since I was about 10 and never will again.

I can't believe people actually like Chucks here. I personally feel they look ridiculous.

Hard for me to see Chucks as stylish at this point. I wore them a lot in the early 80's. They remind me of the fashion void I wallowed in during those years.

Chucks are sort of classic, imo. You aren't going to score huge style points wearing natural with red trim or black with white trim high or lowtops, but you can't go wrong either, no matter your age. I mean, you can still look like a wanker, but the shoes wouldn't be contributing to that, one way or another.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
