Simple merino sweaters

Can anyone recommend some brands to check out? I'm just looking for some simple merino sweaters. Ideally I would like one that is a slight vneck. Something that doesn't dip down very far so I could still wear it with a tshirt or even with nothing underneath. Crewneck is fine as well. I'm a student so I want something that can be worn with jeans, worn with wool slacks or worn with my suit in a more casual setting.

I've tried Banana Republic but the small fits me like a tent.

I agree with DucatiCole that you should check out FIH; however, you'll want to look at www.fourinhand.com, not FIH.

My experience is that the sweaters are not super slim. The sweaters I've purchased from Jonathan have been a Euro 44 whereas I often buy a Euro 46 in other brands.

john smedley made the two sweaters bond wears in the film-- both of which you can buy online. they are pretty basic wardrobe pieces; he wore the Belmont and the Richards, both in black. might be a good fit, nice merino sweater.

I got one from Club Monaco a couple weeks ago that I really love. It's feels much nicer than what Banana Republic sells.
