Simple Alterations in MD or VA

I've gotten really tired of the tailor my mom recommends for simple alterations. He's ruined Borrelli and Valentino dress shirts but shortening the sleeve too much and the hems in my pants consistently start to look ragged. The thread comes loose and then it looks like I hemmed them myself.

I would love to find a tailor who can perform simple alterations like hems or jacket sleeve shortening without charging an arm and a leg. I don't need anything drastic, just basic work. Does anyone have a suggestion for places to try in the MD or VA area? I live in Rockville, MD as a frame of reference.
