Simonnot-Godard Rust PS

Gentlemen,

Happy new year!

I've recently been reading a lot of the Parisian gentleman and stumbled across the following article on pocket squares:

In my estimation, the rust version that Hugo is most enamoured with is absolutely outstanding, albeit long out of stock... which brings me to my question; does anyone have a source for a PS that's even faintly similar to it?

More generally, where are the best pocket squares found in the UK?

That's the Heracles as far as i remember. I have it in light blue and yes SG is my favourite brand. I also have this one which is not the same in design but quite similar in colour:

That article lays it on pretty thick - discussion of color fastness versus printing is odd to me:

Who washes pocket squares?
Who necessarily would Simonot cottons be impervious to color loss?

Anyhow, I like SG and probably have around a half dozen SG squares. I tend to like cotton squares more in SS versus FW. I view that rust color as more of a FW color, so that square in cotton is a little tricky to me. Finally, monochromatic dark squares are also a bit unusual - a lot of folks are looking for white grounded squares as they tend to fairly flexible whereas the dark monochromatic are intense and potentially overwhelming.

Drake's of London OEMs some SG squares, but not a lot in FW. You might want to check Anderson & Sheppard's webshop. Tom Ford does a fair bit of geometric patterns. Forum affiliate vendor Sam Hober does bespoke ties and squares - I know they carry some interesting silks like Thai Shot Silk that might work if you want a monochromatic square with texture

I remember Will from ASW said he sends his pocket squares out to the dry cleaners every once in a while. I thought that was odd, but who am I to criticize Will.

To the OP, I personally think solid-colored squares almost always look bad, with the exception of white linen. And burgundy/ red is perhaps the worst color for a semi-solid colored square. It just looks like one of those tie-and-square matching kits. Personally would go with something with a bit of pattern.

SG squares are nice, but they can, at times, feel like shirting.
