their suits don’t start at 20k. Lattanzi is relatively overpriced if you compare it to Kiton. Sure you could argue it doesn’t matter if you make millions but by that vein you can argue they could charge 50k and people would pay it…
1. Never said Kiton starts at 20k, but they have 20k$ + suits and blazers in their RTW program.
2. Lattanzi has shoes in Milan that cost over 40,000€. Do you pay full retail when you ask for discount? Don’t know, probably you get a discount. And i know he Minimum sold 1 pair.

Anyhow, was a nice troll thread.

Why would someone spend 6 grand on RTW shoes when one could have bespoke shoes made for a similar, if not lower price?
Because you like the style and it’s fits you and you can take it immediately with you, without waiting 3-9 months .
Same is argued with Kiton RTW suits and blazers.

No. Does come I think in a red box. Does are more machine made, nothing like the true lattanzi. Also reflected in the price.

Very very interesting.
Never knew that.
Looks like a machine stitched sole,
and Lattanzi does own an outsole stitcher in his workshop.

because Lattanzi make a shoe that is different from any bespoke maker.
His shoes look very special in person.
No one does what Lattanzi does.

Me own a Lattanzi brogue in vintage leather that uses better leather than wholecuts by highend makers including Vass and John Lobb Paris.
Brogue usually use lesser quality leather than a wholecut,
but not the case with Lattanzi.
You do not see leather like that.
Lattanzi leather can be like shining crystal because the grain is so fine.
Here is an example from that other thread:
With Lattanzi you get that unique color that come from the vintage leather and the extra fine grained leather that makes the most beautiful shoes.

Is Lattanzi over priced?
It depend on how a man feel.
A shoe that last 25 years that look like masterpiece is good value me think.
If a man like the Lattanzi very very much he say it good value.
Logic not come into it when buying shoe.
Buying good shoe is about how it make you feel.
Pleasure worth a lot of money.
Pleasure not logical because it emotional.
Some people buy for prestige,
prestige also worth lot of money for some men.
Yes Lattanzi is worth it for many men.
Would me pay full price at boutique? YES.

Do you have pics of your own Lattanzi pair, say next to some of your other top pairs?

Have placed Lattanzi next to Vass, Lobb, Santoni bentivegna/norvegese, bespokes.
No competition.
Lattanzi wins hands down.
Hard to explain why,
it has this finess and presence that better than even the most perfectly made bespoke.
and Natural looking antiquing which enhance its look.
Me just say that there is reason why man buy Lattanzi and pay lot of money,
it not about buying most expensive shoe for many men me think.

Yohie fukuda shoe = most pretty
Lattanzi = got a special wow factor

hard to expalin.

usually, the harder it is to explain the more it means that it's more the result of your imagination than anything else.

Lattanzi sounds like a religion for you.

Do you have pics?

Mr Lattanzi currently has one of my pairs.
He is fixing it himself.
Lattanzi charge big money for fix. :wow:

oh wow, I think Mr Lattanzi is very very smart. First sell the shoes for the price of a car and make them so that they fall apart fast to need repairs for which he charges the price of a motorcycle.

Now that's the epitome of being business smart.

Maybe it is my imagination for some aspects,
but there are many reasons that can be explained.
What matters is that me like Lattanzi very much.
Some things or aspects of shoes can be about perception.
If me think or imagine Lattanzi is the best then it worth a lot to me.
Me like the antiquing and how it wear and feel and the quality and the styles.

Me do have pics but me never post them here.
Rarely ever post any pictures.
Me keep low profile.
If me post pictures the public might recognise me.

Right.

But with or without pics, I will still recognize you. If I ever see anyone in the mall wearing Lattanzi shoes (because they are so special I'm sure they will stand out), I will know that's you.

There are some secrets that cannot be told in public.
Not all is glittering gold.
Sometimes greatness has been known to fail. :eek2::fu:

e.g., Lattanzi antiqued (leather patina, not painted), EG1 last (I think).
180 - Norvegian - Hand
Retail: + 4000€ / US: I guess 7000$ +

You are proably not going to see the best models of him (online), because those sell. The "gaudy" you will find at eBay, and with luck nice onces also.

now that's a good pair, and you can tell. Not sure if it's $7K nice but it's nice.

Some retailer sells these now? or are they on ebay?

Some of SL current RTW collection.
Some are for some against him. But you can not deny he has almost everything you can imagine in RTW, and can make all you additionally want.
