One of my colleagues is looking for a source for plain white, long sleeve silk shirts for casual wear-- any ideas of where I should direct him?

Any thoughts appreciated.

You can direct him to one of two places:

1) Hispanic flea market

2) Hell

I really do m iss wearing a nice properly made silk shirt.

A proper silk shirt will not have any fancy thread as to show what ethnicity it came from.
As of late all the ones I find have some kind of interwoven image on them.

I think they got out of style when the price started dropping enough to equal the cost a cottton dress shirt.

I remember in the early 80's a silk shirt would cost around $200 in a common market store.

I recently saw some truly amazing silk shirting fabrics. Not sure I would wear them, but there was nothing gauche to speak of.

Is he looking for the ruffled variety, to to pair with his black buckle boots, matching raggy wool trousers, navy bridge coat (with brass buttons), and consistant inclination to mutter "yarrr" at the end of his phrases?
