I woke up this morning in my dumpy grey PJs and while brushing my teeth, a poem by Ogden Nash came to mind.

And then, a heavenly vision: slouchy, silk, pearlescent, almost translucent pajamas; mother of peal buttons; frayed hems, maybe, on the pants.

Today I will buy an elegant set of pajamas. Who's with me? eBay has been a bust so far. Where should I look?

I've been eying this set from Nordstrom's for a year or so now, just can't work up the courage to pull the trigger. I mean, two hunny for sleepwear? I just can't justify it, certainly not when I still need a pair of cordo monkstraps I'm saving up for.

Those are beautiful, but I can't abide the color. Angelic, majestic white please! Shines in the light of a candle held in a silver dish; I ask "who's there?" at the nighttime noises.

Or, worn out, with a dinner jacket and patent oxfords, and a midnight blue sash tied as a cummberbund.

DO IT. I wish I wouldve years ago. Nothing quite like lounging around the house in luxurious PJs.

Silk is hand washable. Saves beau coup bucks, doesn't shorten the garment's life expectancy, and you don't have to breath in the dry cleaning chemicals when you get it back.

Arggg. I've been looking for non-elastic waistband jammies for years now. These look awesome, but 225 GBP does not.

Pajamas, what the f are they. Oh yea! they're what little kids wear to bed. Big boys sleep in the raw. Much more comfortable and you're always ready for action. But if you still have little ones around, keep a pair of boxer shorts on floor, next to bed for emergencys.
