silk cravats

Hi, I was browsing a catalogue and saw silk cravats. I thought they were quite dashing. Can these be appropriately worn any time of the day for casual occasions, tucked under one's shirt with the top two buttons left open?

Do you think they're not very manly, or very much depends on the wearer?

They can be worn as day wear but be circumspect as many people will view them as costume.

I'm pretty sure the ability to wear a silk cravat is wholly dependent on the accent with which you speak.
