Has anyone noticed this company? I find they have some pretty good deals.
I picked up a charcoal melange Corneliani suit with double vents for $499, and a pair of Alden plain toe blucher oxfords in dark brown calfskin for $148. Not bad indeed. They have a lot of stuff from Corneliani, Ike Behar, Bruno Magli and so on.
I was wondering if anyone else shops there.

Their website is www.sierratradingpost.com - I've bought mostly shoes from them since they seem to always have lots of good stock. Naturally, if you're an odd size, check them out for deals - when they have one or two sizes left, discounts often run 60-90%.

Keycode WR14 gives 20% off any order, so I hear.

Anything worth getting?

That's what I came across on one of those coupon websites. It could've been either dated or repealed, so my apologies if it's not legitimate.

Try Googling for "Sierra trading post coupons." The first result has a code for free shipping (but nothing about the discount).

Another thing about Sierra is they will silently put a bunch of stuff on sale for a week or so. That Corneliani suit I bought I found out by accident it was $499 instead of $599 (Normal price) and it was only marked down for 1 week.

Thanks for the coupon. I actually did a google search last night and pulled up the same id. I bought some everyday monkstrap ecco's less than 35 and a nice joseph abboud polo sweater for 16.. Not bad, shirt and shoes for less than sixty bucks (and it fits the budget for a poor grad student... this is my study break on a friday night).

a wannabe peacock turned pauper,

Andy: How do you use them? To me they are casual, and I figure they will work fine with Khakis and jeans -- kind of a Saturday at the office or even casual Friday shoe. Or they could be cousins of a country shoe. I don't see using them with wool dress trousers though.
