I posted in another tread about me losing weight to get in better shape. The question was in reference to sport coats. In THIS tread, I want to know if anyone has any experience with side adjuster pants and weight changes. I'm currently a 36 waist and will get down to a 34 waist. If I purchase the 36 waist and get side adjusters, will the pants be able to adjust to a 34 and would they look bunched up? Thank you for any response.

My weight doesn't fluctuate that much, but I have trousers with side adjusters. I think you can get them down from a 36 to 34 and still have them look clean.

Thanks for the reply. I'm gonna purchase 1 side adjuster at 36 and then see how it looks with the 34 waist.

I've got a pair with side adjusters that are about two inch too wide in the waist. They're perfectly wearable, but do bunch a little. I'd be cautious about needing to draw them any tighter.

If they don’t look right after losing weight just have a tailor take in the waist. That’s an easy fix.
