I got a j crew cotton fleece as a gift that is a little too long in the sleeves and the body, but fits fine in the shoulders. If I shrink it in the wash, will the shoulders shrink as well, even if there are shoulder seams?

This is it: http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Browse/Mens...7635/97635.jsp

I know that the RL interlock polos are meant to be shrunk, but retain their shoulders somehow. Would this work similarly?

Thanks,
RK

Just hot wash/dry it, it'll shrink everywhere.

Cotton shrinks 80% vertically and 20% horizontally. Apply heat and it'll shrink. Wear it a few times if it's too tight in the shoulders and it'll stretch close to its normal width horizontally. Then just don't launder it all that often.
