I was going to ask this in the Get an Answer section but I thought many of us might have this on our mind.

Is it advisable to throw your hoodies, Bson + one AX (a nice piece, not flamboyant shawl collar sweatshirt), in the wash, delicate cycle on Hot/Whites and then in the dryer hottest setting to maximize shrinkage? They are both a tad too long and could use a sizing down. The Bson and AX are "dryclean only"

What do you think?

Thanks!

Are either of the hoodies zip? If it has a zipper I wouldn't. The fabric can shrink but the zipper can not.

I understand it wont shrink one full size down completely proportionally, but I was wondering if any of you did this and achieved good results.

And no, they arent zip hoodies. The Bson is the button one you see on self edge and the AX has zip pockets but thats about it.

I've done this with shirts, specifically Brooks Brothers/Thom Browne Black Fleece shirts. A tad too big, and a hot wash and dry definitely helped

Also the washers and dryers at school...what setting is it?

I know hottest is whites but can I do whites and press delicates?

Should the dryer be Whites&Colors, Perm Press, or Delicate?
