Trying to get some more ideas on what to wear everyday to work. I am in one of the few jobs that has not retrated to business casual so I still wear a jacket shirt and tie everyday. I try to spice up looks with interesting stuff but I have had trouble matching more out of the box styles. Searching on google does not really help me, I want to see what real people with style wear. I often find myself wearing a white shirt and solid (gray/blue) suit with any out of the ordinary tie. There must be a better way! I might be posting this and not get any traction but its worth a try. I suggest anyone who is interested and in the same boat as me.

1 - Take a picture of your outfit for the day
2 - Give us some feedback on how you picked it.
3 - Let us know where all your stuff is from (if you care to)

I think this could be a great reference forum for new outfits and when shopping for new ties.

Just saw this thanks. Is there another forum more spefied for conservative attire for the office? Lots of what I have seen looks great but I could not wear to work.

This thread is also an excellent resource:

Not everything is going to be conservative business dress, but there's a decent amount of overlap between that and Manton's idea (and others' ideas) of good taste. Note that this thread is best early on when Manton, Foo and the like are commenting and critiquing.

As for your poll, I wear grey suits most often. I think there are a lot of tasteful shades of grey and also prefer grey flannel to navy flannel, so there's also that. Brown can be lovely during the day but it has no place in a conservative business setting and is suboptimal in the evenings as well. Black suits also have no place in a conservative business setting, look much worse than grey or blue during the day and really only work well with a few select combinations in the evening.
